We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector (Welding) to join a major international offshore Oil & Gas project.
Location: Offshore
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field welding inspections and quality control activities during construction and installation works.
- Ensure all welding operations comply with project specifications, international codes, standards, Quality Control Plans (QCP), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Verify welding parameters, consumables, WPS/PQR documentation, and welder qualifications.
- Witness procedure qualification tests (PQR) and mechanical testing activities.
- Inspect welding equipment, pre-heating, heat treatment, bevel preparation, and repair activities.
- Carry out pipe fit-up and line-up inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and material traceability requirements.
- Perform visual inspections and prepare inspection reports.
- Maintain complete welding and inspection documentation for project quality records and As-Built dossiers.
- Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with approved quality procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Higher education degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas construction industry.
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (mandatory).
- Fluency in English and Azerbaijani.
- Strong knowledge of international welding codes, inspection techniques, quality control procedures, and documentation.
- Previous offshore project experience will be considered a strong advantage.
