Wells Director

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Wells Director.

Conditions:

Key Leadership Responsibilities

Set and drive the wells strategy, ensuring alignment with broader development and production objectives.
Lead multidisciplinary wells teams, instilling a culture of safety, operational excellence, and accountability.
Govern the planning and execution of drilling, completions, and intervention operations with robust risk management and assurance processes.
Ensure well designs are technically sound, economically optimized, and compliant with all regulatory and HSE requirements.
Oversee budgeting, contracting, tender evaluations, and vendor performance to ensure commercial and operational efficiency.
Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across wells functions.
Build and mentor high-performing teams through coaching, development, and succession planning.
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
15+ years of experience in drilling/completions, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles within E&P or major oilfield services.
Deep understanding of API/IADC standards and proven experience implementing integrated management systems.
Strong track record in delivering complex, high-risk well operations safely, efficiently, and on budget.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural, cross-functional teams in demanding operational environments.
Advanced proficiency in English; strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Solid command of MS Office and industry-specific digital tools; IWCF certification is an advantage.
