JOB DIMENSIONS / CONTEXT

  • The LEAN Management & Cost Efficiency Consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and optimization of
  • LEAN principles across JOCAP operations, ensuring the continuous reduction of waste, cost optimization and the development of a high-performance culture. This position requires close collaboration with JOCAP’s multidisciplinary teams, to deploy LEAN tools, streamline processes, and achieve significant operational improvements.

ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The jobholder activities and key accountabilities covers cost optimization and continuous improvement process thought LEAN methodologies.
  • The jobholder shall develop and guaranty JOCAP's Cost and Performance Culture and promote the LEAN attitude and the standard tools linked to the performance.

THE JOBHOLDER SHALL PERFORM OR ENSURE THE COMPLETION OF THE FOLLOWING SCOPE:

  • Take ownership of implementing LEAN principles across all aspects of JOCAP’s operational processes. This includes driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on, improving process flows, and optimizing resource utilization across exploration, drilling, and production activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive process mapping of key operations within the JOCAP portfolio, including drilling, production, construction, operation and maintenance. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and areas where LEAN tools can be applied to streamline workflows, reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Diagnostic of area of improvement on both axis: CE and LEAN
  • For each main Directorate (EPS, OPS, Fin, JV DEV, HR, PSC and HSEQ) define roadmap, deliverables, streamline and optimize main processes, commitment, KPl, dashboard, meeting efficiency, reporting.
  • Lead and manage operational efficiency projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to apply Six Sigma and LEAN tools (such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and 5S audits) to drive measurable improvements in safety, cost reduction, and process optimization
  • Review and implementation of ongoing initiative
  • CMS processes mapping for identification of area of progress and prioritization
  • Streamline reporting and put process under control
  • Streamline RFS process and put it under control
  • JOCAP dashboard
  • Middle management commitment

PRACTICALLY CONCERNING COST EFFICIENCY:

  • Identify areas where costs can be reduced without impacting quality.
  • Analyze financial data, operational workflows, and resource utilization.
  • Optimize processes to reduce waste (Muda), overproduction, and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the JOCAP Cost Efficiency Program.
  • Promote cultural change and communication efforts to foster a strong performance-oriented culture and achieve sustainable cost reductions.
  • Enhance idea generation through a bottom-up approach, transforming suggestions into rigorous, well-structured action plans to deliver rapid, tangible savings.
  • Support all JOCAP entities in identifying and implementing new cost optimization initiatives.

PRACTICALLY CONCERNING LEAN MANAGEMENT:

  • Work with Lean & CE manager during the implementation of the LEAN too ls to establish a common Quality/ Performance language across JOCAP, SOCAR Absheron and TOTAL Absheron.
  • Contribute to the development of the performance culture within JOCAP based on LEAN methodology.
  • Lean Deployment and Facilitation: Contribute to the implementation of an action plan for the deployment of all aspects of the LEAN program, including, but not limited to Kaizen, SS, Value stream mapping, and Design for LEAN Six Sigma projects.
  • Design and deliver LEAN training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring a deep understanding of LEAN principles and empowering staff to apply these methods effectively. Support the development of LEAN Green Belt and Black Belt practitioners within the organization.
  • Lead and manage operational efficiency projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to apply Six Sigma and LEAN tools (such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and 5S audits) to drive measurable improvements in safety, cost reduction, and process optimization.
  • Organize and lead Kaizen workshops to promote continuous improvement on the shop floor and in operations. Facilitate root cause analysis for any operational problems and lead efforts to implement sustained solutions for performance enhancement.
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators for LEAN initiatives across JOCAP operations. Regularly report on the progress and success of implemented improvements, including cost savings, increased efficiency, and reduced operational waste.
  • Work with CE& Lean manager in identifying areas for process improvement projects, establishing objectives for each project, and selecting cross-functional team members and leaders.

TRACKING PROGRESS:

  • Contribute to the improvement of current action plan for tracking, analyzing and reporting return on investment of programs that have undergone process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the improvement of current comprehensive report, which delineates the status and outcomes of each project, including, but not limited to, efficiencies gained, increased customer satisfaction and/or reduced costs or savings realized.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The jobholder will promote safe working practices in company operational and non-operational premises and will always act in accordance with the company HSEQ and business ethics policies.

  • Ensure Health & Safety Integration in LEAN Projects
  • Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
  • As part of cost efficiency and process optimization, ensure that environmental considerations are factored into LEAN initiatives, aiming to reduce waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Promote environmentally friendly practices like the reduction of energy usage, waste management, and material reuse within operational processes.
  • Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task
  • Lead or support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing workplace hazards or injury rates through streamlined processes.
  • Advocate for regular safety training and ensure that employees are trained in LEAN principles while emphasizing safety.
  • Contribute to HSEQ audits and risk assessments when proposing changes to operational workflows.
  • Ensure that safety is a priority during Kaizen workshops, 5S audits, or any LEAN-related activities that may affect operational environments.
  • Drive quality assurance during the LEAN implementation process by ensuring that all quality improvement activities follow the required standards.
  • Ensure quality control is incorporated into LEAN projects, ensuring that efficiency improvements do not compromise the quality of products or services.

DUTIES AND AREAS OF AUTHORITY ARE:

  • Follow HSE instructions given by JOCAP
  • Assure of the safety of his work site before commencing work.
  • Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger.
  • Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and equipment or to avoid pollution.
  • Use tools, equipment and their safeguards correctly.
  • Use the provided means of personal protection correctly.
  • Leave the workplace behind correct and orderly, upon job completion - enforce the Company Clean Desk policy
  • Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor.
  • Participate actively in HSE meetings, safety talks, toolboxes, training sessions and drills.
  • Co-operate actively in the execution of the HSEQ plans.
  • Suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • University or Diploma/Certificate level degree in international background with focus on business management, technical background is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry with international exposure.
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
  • Expertise in Quality and Performance including experience as a leadership role in performance.
  • Prior LEAN (black belt) and Project Management experience and/or process improvement.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving/resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis.
  • Ability to work in a transverse environment and competencies to build good relationship.
  • Personable, confident, positive and credible
  • Strong communication and listening skills
