SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION:

  • Position to report: Senior Platform Operator (EPS platform, offshore Oil Rocks)
  • Present job holder: new recruitment
  • Rotational (4w/4w)

JOB DIMENSIONS / CONTEXT:
Absheron Early Production Scheme (EPS) is a gas production plant started in mid-2023. JOCAP Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum was established in March 2018, which is the Operator of Absheron from August 2018. Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS Project technical data:
152Mscf/d of gas, 12.5kbbl/d of condensate; production from 1 subsea well, 34km multiphase flowline, dedicated new platform installed at Oil Rocks field (operated by SOCAR); WHSIP = 555bar, WHFP = 380bar. New EPS platform adjacent and connected to existing facilities, operated with dedicated philosophies for safety, maintenance, inspections, integrity. Multicultural context with documents in different languages, mainly Azerbaijani or English.
ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
With the support of Offshore Site personnel and established procedures, the trainee must develop skills and knowledge to understand, assist and participate in site operations, as follow:

  • Acquire and understand the HSE culture, develop knowledge and put into practice;
  • Familiarize with JOCAP company Management System.
  • Learn and familiarize with the work tools such as e-Vision (e-Permit to Work), PI, Digital Tools etc;
  • Monitoring of equipment functioning, observation of temperature, level and flow gauges, and performing the regular unit checks in order to ensure that all equipment is operating as it should;
  • Controlling operation of the various plant equipment;
  • Starting and shutting down plant equipment as per operational requirements;
  • Preparation and execution of planned/unplanned shutdowns and campaigns.
  • Recording, reviewing, and compiling operations records, test results and gauge readings such as temperatures, pressures, concentrations, and flows;
  • Insurance of management and reporting of Inhibitions, Isolations (Process, Mechanical, Electrical), Downgraded Situation, Locked Valve Register, etc;
  • Participating in Incident Investigation and Reporting Processes, such as Cause Tree Analysis;
  • Report any incidents and unsafe conditions that can occur during the operations and take appropriate measures;
  • Clean, maintain, and repair equipment, using hand tools, or request that repair and maintenance work be performed;
  • Operating mobile equipment and hand tools as required in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Actively participating in shift handovers and ensuring all reporting requirements have been completed;
  • Gaining competence and knowledge in operating procedures, safety systems and environmental requirements;
  • Perform with other technical personnel to develop proactive & effective team working together to attain set objectives;
  • Supervising and supporting loading / unloading chemicals activities;
  • Conducting Toolbox talks (TBT), Opening of the electronic Permit to Work (ePTW) as operating authority delegate on site.

The jobholder ensures good relationships with the offshore team, Onshore SMART Room and Azneft teams in the Oil Rocks. The jobholder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements, with regards to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and for implementing and controlling these rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System.
  • Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work.
  • Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task.
  • Ensures compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies.
  • Assure of the safety of his work site.
  • Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution.
  • Report any abnormal condition to supervisor.
  • Participate actively in required HSE meetings, safety talks, tool boxes and training sessions. Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Level / Diploma: Bachelor degree in Engineering.
  • Professional experience: scholarships or similar experience is beneficial.

Understanding of the principles of:

  • Process and Instrumentation Diagram;
  • Operations of Oil and Gas process facilities;
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems;
  • Use of mobile equipment and tools;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Fluent in English and Azerbaijan.
  • BOSIET, STCW95.
  • Ability to drive the company-owned mechanical transmission car
