Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ work experience in oil and gas industry.
- Experience of working in an integrated team with diverse disciplines.
- Degree qualified in electrical engineering (or related) discipline.
- Performing Authority certification for BP and, ideally, also for other clients with minimum of 2 years’ remaining validity.
- CompEx (EX14) certification with minimum of 2 years’ remaining validity
Responsibilities:
- Works with the Workpack Engineer and discipline engineers to develop Job Cards for the electrical elements of the construction activities.
- Works with the Workpack Engineer and discipline engineers to prepare and compile the electrical input to the Workpacks for the construction activities being performed by Khazar Engineering.
- Ensures the requirements of the MOCs are accurately and completely addressed in the Job Cards and Workpacks.
- Identifies all the documentation and certification requirements within the client’s execution and completions process for the project. For example, BP uses PimsCMS.
- Ensures lessons learned from past projects are captured in the Workpacks and Job Cards.
- Assists in the development of method statements and associated risk assessments for the electrical-related aspects of the construction activities.
- Assists in the development of generic and specific risk assessments for electrical-related activities and processes in coordination with discipline engineers and other responsible persons within Khazar Engineering.
- Interfaces with engineers, Construction Team and planner to optimise the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning sequences.
- Acts as Performing Authority (PA) for Khazar Engineering for electrical-related works on Site as-and-when required.
- Acts as Field Team Leader (FTL) for Khazar Engineering for construction works on Site.
- Leads the on-Site completions process (including inspection and test records (ITRs), punchlist items, mechanical completions, handovers, etc.) using the client’s system, e.g. PimsCMS for BP.
- Provides technical input during design phase, focussing on constructability of the design.
- Is involved in creating and sustaining a company culture that supports the HSSE mindset.
- Actively participates in all HSSE meetings that they are required to attend and ensures construction-related aspects are adequately covered.
- Completes all duties in accordance with client and Khazar Engineering QHHSE requirements.
- Works to the highest personal standards and achieves or exceeds set objectives.
- Willing to undertake ad-hoc duties as requested by the Construction Manager, provided these are in line with current Certification Engineer responsibilities and they add value to Khazar Engineering’s operations.
- Has a flexible and proactive approach to working within a team.
- Is willing to work offshore and to travel outside Baku to remote locations within Azerbaijan to review construction on Site.
