The Project Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring effective communication and coordination between various stakeholders involved in the end-to-end project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering disciplines, clients and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the client's representatives to ensure that their expectations and requirements are integrated
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Provide regular updates to schedules, activities and milestones.
- Facilitate regular meetings and discussions between relevant parties to address interface-related matters.
- Evaluate the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Work closely with the Project Controls team
- Participate in project reviews to identify opportunities for improving the interface management process.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall project performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Project Engineer in the oil and gas industry, preferably within an EPC environment.
- Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI).
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
