Job responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and secure rigging equipment such as pulleys, ropes, winches, and hoists.
- Inspect and ensure all rigging tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Attach loads to rigging and prepare them for lifting.
- Direct crane operators and other equipment operators to move heavy materials safely.
- Balance and secure loads to prevent shifting, slipping, or accidents during transportation.
- Conduct routine inspections of rigging equipment to identify and address wear or damage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for rigging and lifting activities.
- Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines while working with heavy loads and equipment.
- Ensure that rigging operations comply with site-specific and industry safety standards.
- Report and address hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- Vocational training or certification in rigging or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in rigging, lifting, or a related field (e.g., construction, heavy equipment handling, or manufacturing).
- Familiarity with different types of rigging equipment, machinery, and tools.
