Hostess

Job Purpose:

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an efficient and enjoyable dining experience at the Hotel.

Reports to: Restaurant Supervisor / Guest Relations Manager

Location: Libya, Benghazi - Hotel 5*

General requirements:

Arrive at work on time, professionally dressed and ready 10 minutes before the start of the shift.
Always maintain a neat and decent appearance.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be polite, friendly and professional towards guests and team members.
Follow all rules and procedures of the restaurant.
Attend scheduled trainings and team meetings.
Demonstrate a proactive and positive approach to guest service.
Maintain confidentiality of information about guests and restaurant operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
Effectively manage reservations and waiting lists using the reservation system.
Quickly escort guests to their tables and assist with seating arrangements.
Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials or promotions.
Handle guests' inquiries and requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Coordinate with the waiters to ensure a quick change of tables and a smooth flow of guests.
Maintain orderliness and organization of the hostess station and entrance area.
Monitor the arrival of guests and inform the team about possible delays or special requests.
Assist with answering phone calls and taking reservations as needed.
Provide support to the restaurant team during busy periods.
