Job’s period: 3 months (seasonal)
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene;
- Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef;
- Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately;
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation;
- Basic understanding of the brand and the cookery;
- Service of food to assigned task standards;
- To sustain high presentation & correct positioning and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefs;
- To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and up keep of equipment;
- To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs;
- To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee’s welfare, safety and development;
- To help and maintain a maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the gross profit and wastage;
- Service of food to assigned task standards;
- To ensure the “mise en place” is performed to the high standard required at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in Azerbaijani and English, Russian is an advantage;
- Culinary Certificate or secondary education (11 grade completed);
- Culinary or professional cookery trainings and/or certified courses (desirable);
- Able to work within a team environment and to communicate effectively with all members of a team;
- 6 day per week shift graphic;
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays (essential).
