Offshore Hydraulic technician

Job objective

Key accountabilities

To safely carry out work functions in the main area of operations and in case of necessity including vessels, wagons, shores and all areas where the company operates
To accomplish the repair of hydraulic machines and mechanisms in accordance with the requirements set by the manufacturer;
To serve in a timely manner the tools and equipment used in the repair work;
To manage equipments used in the repair and development of hydraulic hoses according to the rules of operation;
To determine the hydraulic hoses and various hoses fitting in accordance with the classification;
Assistance with the responsibility for the provision of all Hydraulics equipment, repair and overhaul as dictated by SAP PM– also support for rig maintenance personnel throughout SOCAR AQS operations;
Assistance with the implementation, input, control, review and maintenance of the reliability of all equipment under sphere of responsibility to a standard apposite for the management of maintenance in line with in country interface documentation – relative to Hydraulics issues;
Responsible for ensuring that all relative material goods and equipment are correct and fit for purpose.
To fulfill the relevant to the job description tasks assigned by the manager.
To make planning of each work under control, to identify hazards, assess the risks and opportunities related to it;
To ensure implementation of control measures identified during risk assessments.

Work functions related to health & safety:

To secure oneself and colleagues during the work process;
To attend all company’s training courses and meetings related with safety, firefighting and evacuation;
To comply with the safety procedures implemented by the company;
To take immediate actions or report to direct supervisor on any actual or potential danger to health, safety or equipment on site;
To plan all works under supervision ahead of time, to evaluate risks, to inform relevant parties during pre-work meetings;
To perform evaluation for the purpose of determination of the tasks implemented within the area under supervision.

Work functions related to environment:

To comply with ecological standards implemented in the company;
To manage and comply with the rules on wastes segregation based on Wastes Management Procedure;
To be aware of ecological aspects related with the work activities and to implement control measures.

Competency requirements

Skills:

Technological literacy, including MS Office, Zoom, SAP etc.
Financial and numerical literacy and ability to read, digest and track financial information, if any
Awareness and advanced knowledge about HSE standards
Attitude to learn from others and to share with others
Ability to communicate in an open, clear, transparent and friendly way
Ability to generate solutions and attitude to take ownership for mistakes
Ability to take on additional responsibilities and accountabilities
Flexible approach to implement tasks and agile mindset
Skills to prepare presentations and in-depth reports
Efficiently and effectively maintaining outstanding relationships with all stakeholders
