Job Summary:
The QA/QC Team Leader will oversee and lead the quality assurance and control operations on construction and infrastructure projects. The role requires developing, implementing, and monitoring QA/QC plans and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. This position will be responsible for leading a team of inspectors, coordinating audits, reviewing technical documentation, and liaising with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Control Plans.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the QA/QC team’s daily activities, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Interpret engineering drawings and verify that construction is aligned with the design.
- Monitor construction activities in accordance with approved Construction Plans and timelines.
- Oversee the quality control inspections of subcontractors’ work and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with Governmental Structures to review and respond to official opinions and comments regarding construction projects.
- Prepare, review, and submit detailed technical reports (quarterly and annually) for all audited projects.
- Ensure proper documentation, archiving, and traceability of all QA/QC processes and audits.
- Evaluate completed and ongoing projects and provide estimates and recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and mentor QA/QC staff to ensure continuous improvement in quality practices.
- Complete all tasks and reports as assigned by upper management in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum [5+] years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction or infrastructure projects, including leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, audit practices, and construction procedures.
- Familiarity with local regulatory standards and international QA/QC guidelines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC software tools is a plus.
