Job Description:

Under the direction of the senior management, the Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and guest services of Gabaland Amusement Park. Operations Director ensures smooth park operations, adherence to safety standards, and exceptional visitor experiences while working closely with leadership to drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the park, ensuring a well-maintained, safe, and fully functional environment.
  • Supervise maintenance and technical operations to guarantee the proper functioning of rides, attractions, and facilities.
  • Directly manage and coordinate operational departments, including attractions section, guest services, HSE and risk management, maintenance, finance, and human resources.
  • Lead department heads to ensure the park meets its operational, financial, and service goals. Hiring, training, and performance management for key operational roles.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a secure experience for guests and employees.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that attract new visitors and enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting of the operational records including customer feedbacks to ensure success of the business.
  • Represent the park in communication with stakeholders such as vendors, government agencies, business partners, and community organizations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Hospitality, Engineering, or a related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience in operations, preferably in the entertainment, amusement park, or tourism industires.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of facility operations, maintenance, and safety regulations in entertainment entities.
  • Languages: Written and verbal proficiency in Azerbaijani and English. Russian is advantage.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous experience in amusement parks, leisure centers, or similar environments is highly desirable. 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly in the entertainment and leisure industries.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
