Job Summary
International construction company is looking for an experienced Electrical engineer to supervise the execution building of low voltage and extra-low voltage electrical systems and infrastructure projects, city electrification network. The successful candidate will organize and oversee building engineering systems and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The first project is in the Jabrail region and entails the rebuilding of a town including construction the single-family homes, public buildings and complete infrastructure
Roles & Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the execution of the low voltage and extra-low voltage electrical systems of the project ensuring that they are completed within technical specifications, time and budgetary constraints.
- Continuous on-site supervision of the project.
- Determine resource requirements (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Implement measures to improve the organization of work on the construction sites.
- Secure all necessary construction permits and licenses.
- Must ensure work is performed according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Organize execution of orders of inspection services, supervision and technical control.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Looking for contractors and other staff and assign responsibilities.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Provide detailed reports on timeline, project progress and reconciliations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure appropriate documentation flow.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety standards.
- Improve worker productivity and ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
- Close cooperation with other internal functions including technical preparation, implementation, procurement, design, legal and finance departments.
- Professional development of direct reports.
- Improve work processes and information flow at the company.
- Carry out the instructions of the Project Manager.
Job Specifications
Educational
- Desired Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Preferred A degree from an accredited engineering program
Minimum experience (Type and duration)
- Minimum 7 years in same functions
- Preferable 10 years
Required Skills
- user of AutoCAD, MS Project
- strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and improve designs and processes;
- understanding materials science and engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material properties;
- ability to communicate technical, write reports, and collaborate with team members;
- experience working in teams and collaborating on projects;
- skills in project planning, management, and execution;
- understanding of production methods, materials processing, and quality control measures;
- experience in designing, testing, and refining electrical systems or products;
- familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ASME or ISO standards;
- strong attention to detail to ensure precision in designs and adherence to specifications;
- innovative thinking to develop new solutions and improve existing designs;
- willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies;
- Azerbaijan nationality;
- fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English (good command of English is a non-negotiable requirement. Must be able to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing);
- expert user of MS Office/Office 365, AutoCAD, MS Project;
- category “B” driver’s license.
