We’re Hiring: Head of Logistics

Location: Sumgait / Khizi

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management
• Plan and manage transportation logistics to ensure safe and timely delivery of purchased goods to the warehouse
• Oversee warehouse inventory, manage import and export operations, and develop strategies to optimize these processes
• Organize and manage production logistics efficiently, including supervision of internal transportation flows
• Coordinate logistics activities with production, sales, and customer service departments
• Manage inventory control and ensure optimal stock levels
• Implement control measures to reduce costs and improve order fulfillment efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors
• Ensure compliance with logistics and transportation regulations and internal policies
• Oversee the implementation of safety procedures
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiency-driven initiatives
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
• At least 2 years of leadership experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management systems
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, inventory management, and transportation regulations
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Russian language skills are an advantage
