Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and executing production and material plans in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements. The role ensures the availability of products in line with market demand while optimizing production resources, minimizing waste, and maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical quality standards.
Key Responsibilities;
- Be an expert on ERP, MRP software, especially about SAP (SAP knowledge is strongly preferable)
- Be an expert about Excell (deep knowledge about formulation, pivotal tables as well)
- Prepare and maintain detailed production schedules with production department based on forecasted demand, capacity, and raw material availability.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with GMP, GDP, and company quality procedures.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Procurement, Commercial department to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Manage planning scenarios in case of deviations, batch failures, or capacity constraints.
- Track manufacturing orders and ensure timely release of finished goods.
- Flexible set of mind for business continuity for any kind of missing/problematic material (API, Excipient, Packaging material) to create alternative productions
- Consolidate sales forecasts and prepare Master Production Plans (MPS) accordingly
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging components, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods.
- Monitor expiry-sensitive inventory and initiate preventive actions for potential write-offs.
- Support new product launches and transfers by ensuring planning readiness.
- Ensure all planning records, production schedules, and reports are maintained in compliance with GMP documentation standards.
- Identify and implement improvements in planning processes to increase efficiency and compliance.
- Support S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) cycles and contribute to decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, QC, Production, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, and Logistics).
Monitor and report planning KPIs such as:
- Plan Adherence (%)
- Service Level / OTIF (%)
- Inventory Turnover
- Forecast Accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Planning, specializing in strategic sourcing or category management.
- Proficiency in Planning processes, tools, and systems, including e- Planning and contract management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth understanding of strategic sourcing processes and strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Russian or Turkish is advantageous.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). – Excel is a mandatory for Planning Spec. so maybe you can change like that: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - High performance and ability in Excel is mandatory
- Knowledge of database management, including data querying and extraction.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project). - Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP certification is a strong plus.

- Familiarity with the company’s Planning needs and an understanding of market trends, risks, and Planning principles.
- Proven experience in managing supplier performance, contracting (including drafting, signing, execution, and closing), and handling consolidated tenders (including scope consolidation and stakeholder coordination).
- Experience in demand & supply forecasting or inventory optimization.
