We are looking for a Sales and Procurement Chemical Engineer to manage the sourcing and sales of chemicals and related products. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in chemical engineering, expertise in procurement and sales, and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials, and driving sales to maximize profitability.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the chemical industry.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate chemical products and solutions.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Negotiate and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
Procurement Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, specialty chemicals, and industrial products.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement to support production and customer requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain operations to minimize costs and delays.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in sales, procurement, or supply chain management within the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of industrial chemicals, raw materials, and their applications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze technical and commercial requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and CRM tools.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations and hazardous materials handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in [specific industry: pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food processing, etc.].
- Knowledge of REACH, OSHA, and other chemical regulations.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CIPS, APICS, etc.).
