Project Development
- Own the end-to-end development of assigned projects, managing timelines, milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional workstreams from early-stage development through to financial close and construction handover.
- Lead project planning and scheduling; identify critical path activities, track progress, and proactively resolve bottlenecks across different workstreams.
- Manage and coordinate external advisors including legal counsel, technical consultants, environmental specialists, and permitting agents to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Prepare and present regular project status updates and milestone reports.
Commercial Analysis & Structuring
- Develop and optimize commercial structures for projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and lender requirements.
- Analyze market conditions, regulatory frameworks, and pricing mechanisms to inform and refine commercial models.
- Lead negotiations with offtakers, landowners, grid operators, and government agencies to achieve balanced commercial outcomes.
- Review contractual terms, risk allocation, and execution mechanisms to protect the company's strategic and commercial interests.
- Coordinate preparation and negotiation of key project agreements.
- Assess and address key bankability factors, including offtake structure, revenue certainty, and contract risk.
- Ensure project agreements and structures meet lender requirements; support fulfilment of Conditions Precedent for financial close.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous. CFA is a plus.
Experience
- 5+ years in project development or project management in the energy, renewables, or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary projects through permitting, commercial, and financing stages.
- Exposure to project finance transactions, including PPAs, financing agreements, and financial close processes.
- Experience engaging with lenders, DFIs, or institutional investors on infrastructure or energy projects is preferred.
