The role will involve:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all financial covenants specified in the project finance agreements.
- Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to the terms and conditions of loan agreements, including reporting requirements and project-specific obligations.
- Identify and address potential compliance issues proactively to mitigate financial risks and maintain positive relationships with lenders.
- Work closely with lenders and sponsors, providing them with necessary financial reports and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and updates for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure sufficient cash is available to meet loan repayments, operational expenses, and distributions to shareholders.
- Oversee the timely and accurate disbursement of funds for loan repayments, dividends, and operational expenses.
- Developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to assess the assets’ financial performance and liquidity needs.
- Monitor project expenses and revenues, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial plans.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed financial updates, presentations, and risk assessments for management and key stakeholders.
- Identify financial risks, assess project risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project's financial stability.
- Monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle to prevent disruptions in financial management.
- Support financial audits, ensuring adherence to local and international financial regulations.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems to meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Ensure financial activities comply with the terms and conditions of the Project and other Agreements
- Other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, FMVA etc.) is a plus.
- 3-4 years of experience in a finance-related role with a focus on financial analysis, financial management, demonstrating proficiency in data interpretation, financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of financial covenants, loan agreements, and sponsor requirements in project finance.
- Proven experience with cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and local tax requirements.
