Job Purpose:
Overseeing cost management processes for a portfolio of Wells assets, supporting the organization in budgeting, cost reporting, and financial performance assessments. Delivering strategic insights to empower business decision-makers and driving excellence through business optimization initiatives and streamlined workflows. Managing and supervising the team's activities to ensure success in both daily operations and strategic optimization projects.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Lead full cycle of assets cost management process, including forecasting, variation reporting, and monitoring milestone progress against the budget.
- Drive timely and accurate cost reporting by closely monitoring project activities, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with business units and vendors as required.
- Be responsible for preparing the Value of Work Done (VOWD) and accruals, performing validity checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Cultivate a continuous improvement culture by developing and implementing business optimization initiatives that drive cost savings, enhance contractual efficiency, and improve operations.
- Spearhead workflow enhancement initiatives, boosting team productivity, and delivering superior outcomes that align with organizational objectives.
- Oversee peers' tasks, consistently driving excellence in both individual and team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- International recognized qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.) is preferred.
Knowledge and/or Experience:
- Experience in financial services (preferably within the oil and gas industry).
- Leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous.
Technical and Business Skills:
- Robust analytical skills; ability to extract strategic insights from complex financial data.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor colleagues and maintain team excellence.
