Role Synopsis: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geologist to join our Subsurface Technical Team at SUMI. The successful candidate will provide geological support for reservoir characterization and field development planning. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize technical workflows and ensure high-quality geological input for decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct routine monitoring and detailed geological evaluations of fields, including subsurface mapping, facies analysis, and petrophysical interpretation to support reservoir characterization.
• Integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to generate robust geological models for field development and well planning.
• Work closely with reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, production and drilling teams to ensure optimal execution of field activities.
• Develop geological workflows and best practices to enhance technical evaluations and decision-making processes.
• Perform uncertainty analysis and risk assessments related to reservoir geology and field development planning.
• Evaluate field reserves using various industry-standard methodologies.
• Prepare and present technical progress reports, documentation, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. 

Essential Education:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.

Essential experience and job requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in subsurface geology, reservoir characterization, and field development within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, RMS) and geoscience applications.
• Solid understanding of petrophysical analysis and seismic interpretation.
• Ability to integrate data from multiple disciplines to generate high-quality geological interpretations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Profound communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and digitalization trends in subsurface geology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani
