Responsibilities: 

• Monitor the daily progress of well operations
• Monitor the drilling process to ensure compliance with the industry standards and regulations
• Keep track of current daily costs, compare actual costs with expenditure proposals and recommend cost-effective changes
• Monitor safety and ensure good maintenance of well
• Contribute to conceptual field development design
• Supervise drilling and solve technical problems
• Analyse daily data on productivity
• Prepare reports on the drilling process including records of depth of penetration, materials encountered, and any issues encountered during drilling
• Work with geologists and geophysicists to develop drilling plans that meet the needs of the Company for new wells or recompleting existing wells
• Ensure that drilling operations are conducted safely and efficiently by managing the drilling crew, ordering equipment repairs as needed, and make sure that all safety protocols are followed
• Provide technical advice and support to other members of the drilling team including engineers and geologists

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering/Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical Engineering)
• Over 5 years relevant experience in international oil company 
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English (upper intermediate) 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
• Software skills: OpenWell, Compass, StressCheck, Wellplan
