Responsibilities:
- Monitor the daily progress of well operations
- Monitor the drilling process to ensure compliance with the industry standards and regulations
- Keep track of current daily costs, compare actual costs with expenditure proposals and recommend cost-effective changes
- Monitor safety and ensure good maintenance of well
- Contribute to conceptual field development design
- Supervise drilling and solve technical problems
- Analyse daily data on productivity
- Prepare reports on the drilling process including records of depth of penetration, materials encountered, and any issues encountered during drilling
- Work with geologists and geophysicists to develop drilling plans that meet the needs of the Company for new wells or recompleting existing wells
- Ensure that drilling operations are conducted safely and efficiently by managing the drilling crew, ordering equipment repairs as needed, and make sure that all safety protocols are followed
- Provide technical advice and support to other members of the drilling team including engineers and geologists
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering/Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical Engineering)
- Over 5 years relevant experience in international oil company
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English (upper intermediate)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
- Software skills: OpenWell, Compass, StressCheck, Wellplan
