Brief Job Description:

Process engineer designs, operates, and optimizes processes focusing on the production of crude oil and natural gas from reservoirs while ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. They are responsible for creating diagrams, performing simulations, and troubleshooting equipment. 

Job duties:

• Process design: Create and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new projects.
• System analysis: Use tools like HYSYS for process simulations, heat and material balances, and optimization studies.
• Equipment operation: Troubleshoot problems with existing plants and equipment, and participate in the start-up of new installations.
• Project management: Work on the technical aspects of project initiation and execution, including developing scopes of work and evaluating bids.
• Safety and compliance: Ensure all processes meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Technical support: Provide technical assistance to production facilities, refineries, and other plants.

Additional requirements:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering is required
• Work experience (years): Minimum 8 years   
• Fluent in Azerbaijani and English
• Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and mass transfer is essential.
• Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software, strong problem-solving abilities, and good project management skills are necessary.
• Process Safety Competence (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, QRA)
• Software Proficiency (HYSYS, Aspen, PHAST)
• Knowledge of Industry Codes/Standards (API, IEC, OSHA, ISO)
• Relevant Project Experience (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design)
