Role Synopsis:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for production operations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of goods while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Providing support to Procurement Department on day-to-day activities;
- Dealing with STP Advanced Technologies consolidated procurement requirements, being a single point of contact for all Ongoing liaison with Originators on a subject matter and Contract postaward management requirements as and when needed;
- Administrating of procurement platform and consulting endusers on ongoing activities;
- Ensuring timely and high-quality procurement of raw materials, components, and spare parts required for production processes;
- Conducting market research and supplier evaluation in both local and international markets, including price comparison and analysis;
- Placing purchase orders, monitoring supply processes, and ensuring on-time delivery;
- Collaborating closely with the production department to accurately identify and plan procurement needs;
- Negotiating with suppliers, preparing and managing contracts;
- Preparing procurement documents and accurately entering data into the ERP system;
- Managing daily, monthly, and quarterly reports;
- Analyzing and evaluating procurement-related issues and coordinating with the line manager;
- Preparing technical specifications and terms & conditions for the procurement of goods, services, and professional services with support from subject matter experts;
- Managing the pre-qualification process for new suppliers;
- Developing mechanisms and metrics to monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and cost.
Required background:
- Higher education (in technical, economics, engineering, or other related fields);
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing or industrial company.
Required skills:
- Strong command of English and Russian (written and spoken) – essential for technical documentation and communication.
- Interest in working within a highly regulated and sensitive sector
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and development
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferred;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
