The Network and Systems Manager is responsible for the design, maintenance, security, and reliability of the school’s technology infrastructure. This includes managing a custom multi-server environment, ensuring network uptime, overseeing cybersecurity practices, and providing high-level technical expertise to support teaching, learning, and administrative operations. Qualifications & Experience Needed
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience managing enterprise-level networks and servers.
- Demonstrated experience with backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Cybersecurity knowledge and experience implementing best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced educational environment with excellent customer service skills.
Strong expertise in:
- Network design and troubleshooting.
- Windows and/or Linux server administration.
- Virtualization technologies.
- Firewall administration.
- Active Directory and identity management
Preferred
- Experience working in schools or similar institutions.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft, or VMware.
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education.
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies.
