Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions, including faulty wiring, equipment breakdowns, lighting issues, and power outages.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
- System Servicing: Maintain and service electrical panels, power distribution boards, generators, elevators, HVAC units, and other critical hotel electrical systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and hotel policies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as Engineering, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage, to address electrical needs.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties to address emergency electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system upgrades.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and energy management systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call for emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Electrician certificate.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
