Key details about the role and the candidate
The role requires a highly experienced professional with a minimum of 10 years in supervising construction projects, particularly with 8 years in brownfield drilling engineering upgrades and modifications. The candidate will be responsible for providing Asset Integrity Construction and Fabric Maintenance Supervision for Turan Drilling & Engineering. Strong awareness of client, industry, and international specifications and standards is essential. The role requires a proactive individual who can coordinate manpower, materials, and tools effectively to ensure the safety and success of offshore operational/maintenance activities.
You and the role
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the supervision and coordination of a multi-discipline team involved in construction and fabric maintenance activities. You will ensure that all activities align with client and Turan’s safety, quality, and procedural standards. Your leadership will guide the team to develop and implement cost-effective solutions, while ensuring safety and statutory compliance at all times. Additionally, you will manage contractors, review documentation, and ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints.
Primary responsibilities
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry and international specifications and standards.
- Identification of scope of work required to undertake a project/job. Estimation of deliverables, manpower, and time required executing the scope of work.
- Input to project plans and schedules.
- Comprehension of engineering drawings to develop build sequence for brownfield drilling rig upgrades.
- Production of cost-effective constructability solutions that are fit for purpose, safe, and add value to both Turan and the Client.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and tools required to carry out construction and fabric maintenance campaigns.
- Ensuring construction and installation safety issues are addressed in the design.
- Reporting progress as per Turan systems and procedures.
- Forward planning of resources and timely identification of changes to resource requirements.
- Checking and approval of requisitions for purchase of construction items and services.
- Attendance at meetings called by Project Manager/Engineer, e.g. kick-off meeting, progress meeting.
- Ensuring close-out of completed jobs in a timely manner.
- Manage the fabric maintenance contractor in relation to each individual schedule and competence.
- Develop scope of work packages and manage technical responses throughout the procurement process.
- Technically review contractor documentation such as Survey Reports and Workpacks.
- Coordinate with Operations and maintenance team and arrange POB for execution of project.
- Produce Construction and fabric maintenance workpacks.
- Produce appropriate documentation to support the closing of anomalies in AT&T.
- Ensure that all equipment under control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service.
- Compliance of Turan and Client HSSE requirements within function.
- Ensure onshore deliverables produced are assessed to ensure that construction campaign risks are ALARP prior to mobilisation.
- Ensure that Offshore Construction Supervisors implementing projects have the correct safety competency and training.
- Exhibit safety behaviours expected by Turan and Client when working onshore and implementing projects offshore.
- Comply with all corporate and country-specific HSSE campaigns to construction personnel and sub-contractors working under Turan supervision.
- Awareness and understanding of the business drivers within the Turan/Client relationship and how these can be influenced by innovative designs and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Input and agreement of cost estimates relating to construction function.
- Timely input into deviation from original project budget.
- Execute all project activities and ensure that the project work scope is executed in accordance with the agreed Processes and Procedures.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships within Turan, bp Wells Team, Fabric Maintenance Contractor, and any third-party contractors engaged to perform work within project sphere of influence.
- Adherence to the Turan Systems and procedures.
- Keeping up to date with technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the role.
- Responsible for ensuring that all supervised personnel are aware of continuous improvement issues and kept abreast of new technology.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years Supervision of construction projects.
- 8-years’ experience in brownfield drilling engineering upgrades and modifications.
- High HSE awareness and the ability to promote a safe culture team.

Minimum Qualifications
