Key details about the role and the candidate:
- This offshore position involves supervising the maintenance and repair of drilling equipment, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and coordinating with third-party personnel and the wider rig team.
- The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the designated Maintenance Superintendent, Rig Superintendent, and Senior
- Company Representative, and ensure any equipment issues are resolved promptly while upholding statutory safety standards.
You and the role:
- We seek an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with strong technical expertise in drilling equipment maintenance, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to lead within a multi-discipline offshore environment.
- The ideal candidate has a recognised engineering or trade qualification, extensive experience in offshore drilling operations, and proven supervisory and organisational skills.
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired promptly.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Company repair and preventative maintenance
- procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Ensure that all Third-Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care.
- Ensure that an adequate supply of spare parts is maintained on the installation and is stored in environmentally sound conditions.
- Update or modify any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment as required or provide such information to management.
- Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate.
- Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor.
- Monitor any rig equipment supplied by other contractors or sub-contractors to ensure that it is suitable for use within the areas desired.
- Apply Company safety regulations.
- Obtain the necessary safety clearance for the nature/type of work to be carried out, in advance, in consultation with the HSE Adviser and in accordance with safety procedures (i.e. Work Permit).
- Carry out competence assessment in respect of departmental staff.
- Plan maintenance and repair tasks to minimise the effect on the drilling operation.
- Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative.
- Carry out and record the maintenance tasks specified by the computerised maintenance system.
- Check materials offloaded and complete manifests and requisitions for mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Recommend and when required embody modifications to equipment or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices.
- Report to their line supervisor all the potential hazards and abnormal situations.
Experience:
- Significant experience working in the drilling industry or in a drilling equipment related maintenance environment.
- Rig site experience in supervisory position.

Minimum Qualifications:
