Work Place: Vanguard Base
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electronic control systems used in coil tubing units.
- Ensure all electronic components, sensors, and control systems function effectively during operations.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on coil tubing equipment to avoid unplanned downtime.
- Monitor and calibrate sensors, counters and other electronic systems.
- Install and commission new electronic systems and controls for coil tubing units.
- Verify the performance and accuracy of the systems after installation.
- Optimize equipment to meet operational specifications and safety standards.
- Provide on-site support during coil tubing operations to resolve any real-time electronic issues.
- Collaborate with field operators to identify and address malfunctions quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs, reports, and documentation of repair, maintenance, and calibration activities.
- Update records for equipment performance and service history.
- Assist with software and hardware upgrades for electronic control systems.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
- Train field technicians and operators on electronic system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide guidance to team members regarding best practices for handling electronic equipment.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in electronics, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- Experience with coil tubing electronic systems, including sensors, magnetic picker, counters and control panels.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical and electronic systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical integration with electronic systems.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and operational protocols.
- Willingness to work in the field and travel as required.
