Job description:
- Ensure full understanding and implementation of contract requirements, project scope, and technical specifications for the operations
- Develop projects including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Track projects progress and ensure on-time, on-budge completion
- Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, downtime, and cost
- Ensure project work aligns with production needs and minimizes disruptions
- Lead facility improvement projects such as
- Equipment installations and upgrades
- Layout changes and workflow optimization
- Safety, housekeeping, and efficiency improvements
- Monitor contractor performance and enforce contractual obligations, including quality, schedule, and deliverables
- Oversee procurement processes in coordination with relevant departments and ensure alignment with project requirements
- Oversee daily production operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
- Monitor production metrics such as efficiency, quality, scrap, and throughput
- To prepare periodic reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly) as required.
- Address production issues by identifying root causes and implanting corrective actions
- Ensuring adherence to safety expectations and good manufacturing practices
- Work closely with leadership to improve performance
- Support and develop production supervisors and team leaders
- Help standardize processes and introduce basic production controls as the operation matures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Field) or equivalent experience
- Additional degree or certification in Project Management, Production Management, or a related field is preferred
- Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent is an advantage
Work Experience
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or project management
- Experience leading projects in a manufacturing industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
Technical Skills
- SAP PP (Production Planning), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or other relevant programs
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project reporting tools.
Languages:
- Azerbaijani - Fluent
- English – Fluent (Upper-intermediate) (written and spoken)
- Russian - (not required; advantage).
