Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement retail strategies to achieve business objectives and growth.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform business decisions.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on store performance, customer trends, and operational issues.
  • Use data to continuously improve processes, inventory, and staff effectiveness.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Set sales targets and develop action plans to drive profitability and market share.
  • Collaborate with senior management on company-wide strategies.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Monitor store performance, including sales, customer service, and inventory control.
  • Ensure stores are operating in compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor retail managers and staff to meet company standards.
  • Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages employee engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to align store promotions with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising strategy to ensure the stores reflect the brand’s image and attract customers.

Main requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role overseeing sales teams or multiple locations.
  • Proven success in driving sales growth, managing P&L, and executing strategies that enhance business performance.
  • Strong background in customer service, sales management, and retail operations.
